Couples' Counseling

The couples I work with are married and unmarried with a variety of ethnic backgrounds and sexual preferences.

Most individuals long for a fulfilling union of body, mind and soul with another individual.  Often our dreams conflict with the reality of our relationships.  On a day to day level we are influenced by stress, our personal issues we bring to our relationship, finances, children and relatives.

While many of us may be well trained and accomplished in our careers, we lack education or training in how to create a successful relationship.  Half of couples' counseling involves education and learning of new skills of relating.

Perhaps you are a new couple or a long-standing couple with unresolved issues. Please consider "bringing the car in" for regular maintenance before the "engine" blows!

Take several minutes to answer this brief questionnaire to see if couples' counseling could be useful for you.

1. I communicate:

2. I take time to have intimate time with my partner (emotional & physical closeness)

3.  I pay attention to what makes my partner feel loved on a:

4.  I am honest with my partner

5. I feel loved by my partner

6. My relationship to addictive behavior: (drugs, alcohol, spending, food, TV, sex, over-work)

If you answered "D" to any of these, seek help IMMEDIATELY!  If you answered "C" to any of these, counseling would improve the quality of your relationship.

If you answered "B" to at least 3 of these, your relationship is positive and you could choose to work on increased growth.

If you have at least 3 "A's" (and the rest "B's"), Congratulations!  Your relationship is great!
